FAQ'sWHAT ARE WORKING HOURS? 38 hours/week full time, with a 5 day working week. Annual leave 20 - 30 days per year. CAN MY SPOUSE WORK? Yes, your spouse is permitted to work in Australia or New Zealand. WOULD I BE ABLE TO CHANGE EMPLOYERS? You are not allowed to change employers or cease employment without the knowledge and approval of the Immigration Department. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your visa. CAN I HAVE A SECOND JOB? No, Under the terms of your sponsorship visa you are not permitted to supplement with a second job. HOW WILL I BE TAXED? Income Tax is automatically deducted from your salary. The Tax rate is scaled to your gross salary. IS ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED? Some hospitals offer free or subsidized accommodation. We will help in finding suitable accommodation when you first arrive. DO I NEED HEALTH INSURANCE? Yes, all visitors and temporary residents in Australia are required to have their own private health insurance during their stay.
